Per request of the Reddit r/dayz community, testing will begin shortly for SMK Animations with dayz.

SMK Animations is a mod to add many new movements for added PvP dynamics.

Some features of SMK include:


  • Back to wall
    • Peak around corner
    • Blindfire up and right
    • Grenade throw around the corner
    • Grenade overhead throw
  • Crouching/Kneeling/Sniper Seat Stance
  • Jumping over walls
  • Combat Jog
  • Improved Weapon control for CQB
  • Urban prone
  • Quick cover and combat roll

Vehicles, lots of vehicles!

It is safe to say Taviana is a huge map. Coming in at 625km^2 it is 2.7 times larger than Chernarus. That being said, we have increased the Vehicles spawned on the map to 377.


Cars:

We have gotten rid of the UAZ and replaced them with the HMMWV. We have also increased the chance a gun spawns in a vehicle way up.

We will be playing around with the server after 3pm EST today.

Except the server to be down for about 3 hours as we figure out what we would like to do with the vehicles.

Our plan is to add an interesting dynamic that is missing from the dayz play. Vehicle count will be increased to above 100 and spawns will 'make sense'.

Once the server is back up and running come check out the blog for an idea of vehicle spawn locations.

The Crew is Back With DayZ!

I am happy to say we are back into DayZ. Since the release of some very great maps, and some new stuff for us to explore, we have started hosting a DayZ server again.

Currently, we are running a Taviana server:

Dayz Taviana - JSRS and Blastcore Enabled - 100+ vehicles - 24/7 day - Hosted by [EUD]



Be looking forward for the following:

- Multiple DayZ servers on all different maps
- Even better admin support and anti-hacks
- Plans to create a hosting service, with 24/7 support from us.

We are now using Team Speak, the info can be found on the info tab.

As many of you may have noticed, we have closed down the DayZ server. It was too much work to keep up for such a low server population.

As many of you know, DzP loved to PvP so we have opened up a wasteland server.

Wasteland:
-Missions to get APCs, Tanks, Helicopters, Military Vehicles, and all that shit.

Update Coming Soon!

If the test works out smoothly, we will be rolling the server up to DayZ version 1.7.2.6 and Beta patch 96751.

You should see a slight gain in performance on the server.



Confirmed Change log Straight from DayZ Dev team:

  • [New] Bear trap has chance to spawn on infected hunters
  • [Fixed] Graphical glitches with dead bodies. (About time!)
  • [New] Three UI options available: Default (indicators only), Debug (indicators + debug window), none (only base ArmA2 UI)
  • [Fixed] Converting between magazine types reset ammo count (Now only contains previous number of rounds)
  • [New] Option to flip rolled over vehicles
