Extended Downtime

Sorry for the inconvenience , the server has been down way longer than expected, come check back periodically for updates!

EDIT #1(17:09pm EST) Sever update complete, still need to add BEC and DayZ Anti-Hax, Go ahead and  update to beta 95061. Making progress!

EDIT #2(17:26pm EST) Imported the database into new server.

EDIT #3(19:47pm EST) Server up, everything reset. We will import the character data later.

8/29/2012 Changes



New Update

B.E.C - Battleye Extended Controls 


   Features:

  • Multi In-game Admin Support
  • Organized BE Event logger
  • Check GUID of players who connect against a community ban database (1,000 hackers banned)
  • Chat restriction
  • Able to see who speaks in chat again
  • Lingor Support added (Tests will begin soon!)
  • Auto-kick lobby idlers
  • Create schedules (Messages and restarts with warnings)
    • Scheduled restarts every 3 hours with 30-minute warning, 10-minute warning, and 5-1 minute warning.
    • Message of the Day 
  • Plus other stuff making admin support easier


DayZ Anti-Hax

DayZ Anti-Hax is a very simple server-side console application for automatically banning hackers from a DayZ server. Utilizing some of the new features first introduced with the latest BattlEye update (v1.158) and ArmA 2 OA beta patch 95883, DayZ Anti-Hax parses server logs for only the most obvious hacker behavior and adds those deemed nefarious to the server's ban list. When used in combination with Battleye Extended Controls, which can automatically reload a server's ban list while it is running, this is a completely automated solution that requires little to no maintenance, making DayZ Anti-Hax an extremely useful tool when used in combination with good 'ol fashion manual log combing.


This will automatically ban any player's GUID that has suspicious logs. We have broadened the automated search that scans for logs we deemed suspicious and other know hacks. DayZ Anti-Hax will be constantly running and searching the .log files. This will be much more efficient for banning hackers.



 Changes

  • Clean up script working properly again ( Broken vehicles and construction materials will be removed)
  • Vehicle Spawn script working properly
  • Data Snapshot (Easier to restore gear/vehicles lost when a hacker hits.)

Expect the server to be down for about 30 minutes for these changes to be added. During this time please update to the newest beta patch: 96061

Back on Gametracker.com!

I finally got SE101 properly reporting to gametracker.com again!

Now we can see our server rank skyrocket again. If I remember correctly, we ranked 485th before the server stopped reporting.








Future Changes to the Loot Tables

Next on our list of things to fix in this game is the loot tables, please understand this is not finalized yet.

We will be modifying the loot in the Barracks, Hanger, ATC, and Crash Sites and hopefully change the game's current dynamics. These changes should make the game a lot more interesting, hopefully adding in close(r) quarters combat and forcing players to use tactics such as suppression, flanking, or guerrilla warfare in PvP situations.

  • AKS-74 Kobra 
  • AKM
  • Remington 870



Hanger & A.T.C. Changes:
  • Added spawns for old Barrack loot (see above).
  • Increased percent chance of weapons and ammo



Crash Sites Changes:
  • Crash Sites will have the chance to spawn in the following: M4A1 AIM, M4A3 CCO, M4A1 AIM SD CAMO, M4A1 HWS GL CAMO, and M16A4 ACOG.
  • AS-50 and M107 spawn chance lowered

Vehicle Script fixed, more to come!

Tritech has fixed the vehicle script issue, vehicles are spawning properly now! That does include 3 helicopters spawned on the server. recent changes to vehicles:
  • Vehicle spawns have tripled to 129 spawns
  • The SUV has been added, server max of 4 
  • Helicopters are enabled now with a server max of 3
  • Tractors are now removed (spawns still in use)

Here's what the current max is, you can get an idea of what to expect.

                                    


Possible New Vehicles

  SUV

Fuel: 130L
Inventory: 50/10/2 (items, guns, bags)
Capacity: 6
Top speed on the road is 115km/h and off-road is 55km/h. The SUV is currently spawning in the server. Max 4

Mi-17 (Civil)

Fuel: 1000L
Inventory: 20/3/10
Capacity: 17

A limit of 1 per server.

 BTR-40

Capacity: 7

The BTR-40 is an open top halftrack. It will provide excellent small arms cover unless shot at from above. (More info to come.)

 Vodnik (2xPK) or Vodnik

Capacity: 10

The Vodnik is a Russian high mombility multipurpose  amphibious vehicle. It can reach a top speed of 112km/h (5km/r while floating). 

HMMWV (240) or HMMWV (Civil)

Capacity: 5









Let us know how you feel about these vehicles. Aside from the SUV, nothing is set in stone yet, more testing is needed.

How The New Vehicles Will Be Added To The Server:

 We will have an event when adding a new vehicle. The server will go down so we can add the new vehicle (This will only take a few minutes). When the server comes back online, we will have marked the newly entered vehicle's location for everyone to get. The vehicle's damage is randomly generated, making it a little more of a challenge to get it.

The new vehicle will have the same spawn process as every other vehicle after the event. If it is blown up, a new one will re-spawn every server restart.
